Sound is violence, and noise is a journey. Music will forever be unreplicated/uncorrupted by AI.
This course has served as a way to fully express and experience sound through automation and sound via the extreme experimental. I dabbled with musical creation as well as mixing but the likes of Abelton and musical AI software were far off my radar. Through this course I firmly argued against the incorporation of AI into the sound and musical scene, as I feel it’s imperative we leave the arts uncorrupted without 100% involvement of the machine. There is no joy in parading a track you didn’t create, especially when said track is devoid of life. While many may argue for or against this topic, I’ve spent a lot of time during this course streamlining my work to prove that there isn’t set of code or software that can make AI replicate this sort of thing.
And I hope from a quick gander at my work, that you agree.
